The People
Taymar Pixley
Director
Taymar Pixley is the owner and director at Pixley Flix Productions. Her life and work are heavily influenced by her unusual upbringing. From the ages of 4 to 17 she lived on the Navajo Reservation in North Eastern Arizona, where her mother still lives and works as a midwife. She went on to study production at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Video.
While at Hampshire she produced experimental and documentary films and videos, and co-founded the Women’s Film and Video Collective. The group produced a weekly live variety cable television show as well as several short documentaries.
After graduating from Hampshire in 1998, Taymar moved to Tucson, Arizona for several years where she worked as a freelancer and television news editor. After moving to California in 2003, Taymar acquired additional skills in print, multi-media and web design through the Interactive Media Certificate Program at the San Diego New Media Center. She now lives with her son Caspian in Santa Barbara, California where in addition to running Pixley Flix she also founded sbindies.com, a cooperative for local independent producers.

She served for three years on the board of directors for the Community Media Access Channel in Santa Barbara. Currently, Celinda has teamed up with Taymar Pixley to produce several independent productions. Travis Holliday

Travis Holliday takes the world of design very seriously. For him, design is about a lot more than style, design is about creating the desired effect. In addition to creating motion graphics for Pixley Flix, Travis has his own web design company at travisholliday.com.

Seth keeps things interesting. Although he has had no formal training in production, Seth has a lot of hands-on experience both in front of and behind the camera. He also has a good eye for design and good head for story-telling.
